HISTORY
In year 2003, Laurent Emsellem, owner of the company MC LEM specialized in denim since 1979, decided to create a new brand aimed at trendy young people : KAPORAL. He decided to surf between the “roots” spirit of denim and the contemporary fashion trends. The brand has largely made its mark in the fashion industry by its denims and is now being appreciated for its collection of t-shirts, shirts and jackets as well. Very quickly, Kaporal has acquired a very strong public fame. Kaporal supplies more than 1000 multi-brand retailers,13 own-brand stores and is now developing a network of franchise outlets In 2009, the company booked sales of EUR 52 million & made 10 % of its turnover abroad (Europe, Canada, Africa, Middle East…).
Philosophy
The central points of the collections is vintage spirit . Men and Women collections are based on the american spirit, hawai, motorcycle, army, pin up.
Highlights
Kaporal is already well established in France. The company plans to develop tight and close relations with its foreign partners. Marketed in over 30 countries, with sales increasing rapidly beetween Summer 2009 and Winter 2010, Kaporal is being promoted in South America, Japan, in the United Arab Emirates. The brand now wants to establish itself in major countries such as Singapore, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.
